JNFL Announces Reorganization

Effective today, JNFL has reorganized its corporate structure. Details of the reorganization are shown in the attached document. Details of Corporate Reorganization 1. Scope of Reorganization The current reorganization is being carried out to: a) clarify the authority and responsibility of each department and business division, and b) streamline management and decision-making activities. To achieve these goals, the following changes have been made. New Divisions Established Enrichment, waste disposal, waste management and reprocessing business operations that until now have been split between the head office and the Rokkasho office have been consolidated into three divisions. The new divisions are: the Enrichment Business Division, the Radioactive Waste Disposal Business Division, and the Reprocessing Business Division. Consolidation of Departments and Offices With the exception of the MOX Fuel Fabrication Department and the three above-mentioned divisions, 17 head office departments and offices have been reorganized/consolidated into the Corporate Planning Office, the Public Relations Office, the General Administration Office, and the Safety Technology Office. The changes were made to reflect current management strategies, business division structure, and areas of common interest. 2. Date of Reorganization The reorganization is effective as of 1 August, 2001.
