Press Release Concerning the Second 1997 Intake of Low-level Radioactive Waste to the Low-level Radioactive Waste Disposal Centre in Rokkasho-Mura.

The second 1997 intake of Low-level Radioactive Waste(LLW) is scheduled to be held from 2 June 1997. The LLW will be shipped from Shimane nuclear power station, operated by Chugoku Electric Company in Shimane prefecture. The total amount of LLW to be received during this intake will be 1600 drums, with each drum containing 200 liters of LLW. Intake of all 2560 drums is expected to take 2 days.
