The final phase of the ongoing intake of Low-level Radioactive Waste from Takahama nuclear power plant, operated by Kansai Electric Company, was completed today. |
Overland transport vehicles loaded with LLW began leaving Mutsu-Ogawara port at 9:40. The first vehicle arrived at the centre at 9:55, and the last vehicle was unloaded at 15:37. Intake of the LLW to the centre was officially completed at 15:42. The total number of the containers received today was 120 containers(960 drums), for an aggregate total of 240 containers(1920 drums). |
