Announcement of Completion of Rokkasho Reprocessing Facility Sea Discharge Pipe Marker Buoy Anchor Chain Replacement

As a follow-up measure to the reinstallation of the buoy which was found adrift on June 11, JNFL has replaced the chains used to anchor all of the sea discharge pipe marker buoys. The replacement of the chains was completed at approximately 19:10 today.

Replacement was carried out by lifting the chains and anchor blocks onto the deck of a service vessel where the chains were replaced. The anchors, chains and buoys were then returned to the sea.
