In view of the waste management problems discovered at the Power Reactor & Nuclear Fuel Development Corporation's Radioactive Solid Waste Disposal Facility in Tokaimura, JNFL recently conducted an inspection of its own solid waste management facilities at the request of the Science and Technology Agency. |

The inspection, which was completed on 27 August, included solid waste management facilities at the Uranium Enrichment Plant, the Low -level Radioactive Waste Disposal Centre and the Vitrified Wastes Storage Centre. JNFL confirmed that no problem was found in the management at each facility, and reported their inspection results to the Science and Technology Agency. |
