The ninth 1997 intake of Low-level Radioactive Waste(LLW) is scheduled to be held on 27 January 1998. The LLW will be shipped from Hamaoka nuclear power station, operated by Chubu Electric Company in Shizuoka prefecture and from Tokai-2 nuclear power station, operated by The Japan Atomic Power Company in Ibaragi prefecture. |

The total amount of LLW to be received during this intake will be 1096 drums(800 drums from Hamaoka power station, 296 drums from Tokai-2 power station), with each drum containing 200 liters of LLW. Intake of all 1096 drums is expected to take 2 day. |
