Press Release Concerning the Eleventh 1997 Intake of Low-level Radioactive Waste to the Low-level Radioactive Waste Disposal Centre in Rokkasho-Mura.

The eleventh 1997 intake of Low-level Radioactive Waste(LLW) is scheduled to be held on 12 March 1998. The LLW will be shipped from Fukushima-1 nuclear power station, operated by Tokyo Electric Power Company in Fukushima prefecture.

The total amount of LLW to be received during this intake will be 2928 drums, with each drum containing 200 liters of LLW. Intake of all 2928 drums is expected to take 3 days.
