Press Release Concerning Intake of Spent Fuel to the Spent Fuel Recieving and Storage Building for Adjustment of Inspection Equipment

In accordance with regulations governing the operation of spent fuel reprocessing facilities, JNFL today announced plans to intake spent fuel samples to the Spent Fuel Recieving and Storage Building for the purpose of calibrating its inspection equipment.

･ 44 Spent Fuel Assemblies (approx. 8tU) from Boiling Water Reactors
･ 56 Spent Fuel Assemblies (approx. 24tU) from Pressurized Water Reactors

2. Consignors, Type & Number of Casks
･ 2 casks (NFT-22B type) from Fukushima Nuclear Power Station No. 2-4, operated by Tokyo Electric Power Company
･ 2 casks (NFT-14P type) from Ikata Nuclear Power Station No. 1, operated by Shikoku Electric Power Campany
･ 2 casks (NFT-14P type) from Sendai Nuclear Power Station No. 1, operated by Kyushu Electric Power Comapany
