Press Release Concerning the Sixth 1998 Shipment of Low-level Radioactive Waste

The sixth 1998 shipment of Low-Level Radioactive Waste(LLW) is scheduled to be received at the Rokkasho-Mura Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Centre on 9 November 1998. The LLW is owned by Kansai Electric Power Company, and will be shipped from its Takahama Nuclear Power Station in Fukui prefecture. The shipment will consist of 1256 drums, with each drum containing 200 liters of LLW. Unloading and receiving procedures are expected to take two days.
