JNFL has announced its receiving and shipping schedules
for FY 1999:
- 1. Receipt of Natural Uranium
- JNFL plans to receive a total of 115 cylinders (48Y
Type) of natural uranium in FY 1999. 15 of the cylinders
will be shipped from CAMECO in Canada in a single
shipment in the first quarter of FY 1999. The shipment
will arrive at Oi Wharf and be transported by overland
vehicles to its final destination. The remaining 100
cylinders which will be transported from CAMECO in Canada
and COMURHE in France in a single shipment which will
arrive at the port of Mutsu-Ogawara in the second quarter
of FY 1999.

- 2. Shipment of Enriched Uranium
- JNFL plans to ship 87 cylinders (30B Type) of
enriched uranium in two shipments during the first
quarter of FY 1999. The first shipment will be for JCO
Co., Ltd., and the second shipment for JCO Co., Ltd. and
Mitsubishi Nuclear Fuel Co., Ltd.

- 3. Receipt of Returned Vitrified Waste
- JNFL plans to receive a total of 144 canisters of
Phase IV and Phase V Returned Vitrified Waste during FY
1999. The canisters will arrive from COGEMA in France in
two shipments. The first shipment will consist of two
casks, and is scheduled to arrive at the port of
Mutsu-Ogawara on 15 April. The second shipment will
consist of four casks, and is scheduled to arrive in the
second half of FY 1999.

- 4. Receipt of Low-Level Radioactive Waste
- JNFL plans to receive a total of 6560 drums (LLW-1
Type) of Low-Level Radioactive Waste in 5 shipments in
the first half of FY 1999.
