Press Release Concerning the Second 1999 Shipment of Enriched Uranium

JNFL today announced that shipment of enriched uranium from the Uranium Enrichment Plant in Rokkasho-Mura has been completed. Approximately 83 tons of UF6 (43 cylinders of 30B type) owned by Hokkido Electric Power Company, Kansai Electric Power Company, Shikoku Electric Power Company, Kyushu Electric Power Company, and the Japan Atomic Power Company were transported to JCO CO., LTD., TOKAI PLANT and Mitsubishi Nuclear Fuel Co., Ltd. The shipment was completed at approximately 23:38 on 24 June 1999.
