Press Release Concerning Shipment of Spent Fuel to the Spent Fuel Receiving and Storage Building for Adjustment of Inspection Equipment |

The above parties announced that the most recent shipment of spent fuel to JNFL's Spent Fuel Receiving and Storage was completed today. The transport ship, Rokuei-maru, loaded with 2 casks of spent fuel samples, left the private port of Ikata Nuclear Power Station operated by Shikoku Electric Power Company at 8:30 in the morning of August 30 and arrived at the port of Mutsu-Ogawara at 8:15 in the morning today. Unloading of the casks began at 11:15, and ended at 12:12. Overland transport of the casks began at 13:45 and was officially completed at 14:41. The shipment consisted of 28 spent fuel assemblies (approx.11tU) contained in two NFT-14P casks. |
