Press Release Concerning the Commencement of the Fifth Regular Inspection of the Vitrified Waste Storage Centre at Rokkasho-Mura

JNFL announced that the fifth regular inspection of its Vitrified Waste Storage Centre will begin on 1 November. The inspection is expected to take one month. The inspection will cover the following areas:

Alarm equipment and interlocking devices Vitrified waste reprocessing capacity Primary radiation control facilities Dose equivalent rates and radioactive material concentrations in controlled radiation areas Nuclear fuel material containment in restricted areas Other functions
