Press Release Concerning Application for a Certificate of Approval for Overland Vehicle Transportation of Phase VI Returned Vitrified Waste

The above parties today filed an application with the Director General of the Science and Technology Agency for a certificate of approval for overland vehicle transportation of 104 canisters of Phase VI returned vitrified waste. The application was filed to obtain government approval of safety measures in transporting vitrified waste to the Vitrified Waste Storage Centre by overland vehicles as required by the Law for the Regulation of Nuclear Source Material, Nuclear Fuel Material and Reactor.
